As the owner of a 2.5 auto I have to agree with your comment, he must be driving very badly to only achieve 32 mpg. Those of with a 2.5 auto know how to get much better mpg.

Really? I think I'm only getting around 30mpg from my manual 1.8 at the moment.

Yes. idiot joe public. The English are like lemmings. Pied piper would not need a pipe to get the English to follow him. They believe anything they are told, and also when faced with a problem, the first thing they do is throw their hands in the air and say 'we'll what can you do'. Mind you, glad they did, it done me a favor and saved me some money.
