Yep get it nice and hot, support the flange with a socket over the head of the stud then whack the threaded end with a steel hammer.

Number 6 are you will to split the studs from the elbow or are you just looking to sell the elbow as is,as it looks like myself and macafee2 both are in need of a stud (no pun intended )
