Clutching at straws or rather clutching at holly bushes! Stuck my hand into the Japanese holly to see how dry/wet it is, still soaking wet, the ivy on the wall will be the same

I ain't dumb enough to contemplate an electric trimmer on wet plants, end up with a smoking Afro hair do!

But seriously, had to drive through ankle deep water at Potter Heigham and Wroxham yesterday! Looking at other places around the country, we haven't done too bad. We just kept to the middle of the road through it but there's always some dope who thinks that you shouldn't be there, because it makes him have to wait for thirty seconds!

What a dreary day with light rain it's been here, The forecast says we'll be having heavier rain from 17:00, I doubt it'll put a dampener on round two of the fireworks.

Pan of vegetable soap on the go & pork chops in the oven with some mash,carrots & broccoli for tea tonight.

I like my coffee and always get a decent one. Just occasionally I'll buy Columbian coffee from Lidl, not brilliant but ok, I'll only get it if I need coffee and have to go to Lidl for other stuff. Got a jar yesterday, opened it this morning, made a cup . . . .

. . . . it was rank! Nothing like it usually is, not a pleasant taste at all. Got a jar of Kenco this afternoon and binned the Lidl stuff, that's off my shopping list, not buying it again.

Morning all, It's still raining & didn't half put some down overnight, I'm dreading going into the garage because I can see standing water above one corner of the concrete base from the bedroom window.

Time to get my power tools out of there & into the house.
