Dunno about storm chaser, the Deep Purple album Stormbringer springs more to mind.

I'm on the last dose now and I take back what I said, I'm struggling. Aniseed flavour was "ok" to start with but I'm on my third 700ml of the day

35 minutes later: Finally finished it. Don't usually drink coffee this late but having one to try to get rid of the aniseed taste.

Morning all,

I'm working in Colchester early afternoon then driving up to the boat afterwards.

The weather is looking 'set fair' for the day and looks to be not too shabby for Saturday.
The only fly in the ointment is Sunday with rain in the forecast

Last night I cooked a gammon joint and root veg in the slow cooker to make a gammon casserole

Going to make some wholemeal suet dumplings this morning to go with it.

The good thing with our crockpot is that you can remove the pot from the slow cooker and it is safe to use in the oven or on the hob so you can finish off cooking or browning/searing all in the one pot

Will be taking some with me up to the boat and leaving some here for Ros....I'm all heart

In medical based news.......

I have still not received my referral to the Physiotherapist at the hospital for my shockwave treatment on my inpinged shoulder so I shall be chasing that up this morning.

Ros did some research on pain relief for it and I now have some CBD muscle balm which arrived yesterday.

I used some last night for the first time and it does seem to have helped a lot and I had a better nights sleep....I wasn't high as a kite either

I have applied some this morning and have not taken my prescribed Naproxen so I can judge how well it works.

Has anyone else on here used medicinal cannabis derived products and if so how did you get on with it?

Morning. I'm liable to fall asleep on the CT table later! Had to drink 700ml of that prep stuff before bed last night, lost count of how many times I was up during the night to get rid of it

Morning all from a bright and cold Midlands.

The rain weather Gods have cleared off, so thank you whoever arranged for the wind Gods to intervene and blow those clouds away .

Quizzie's missing her friend, Bridget. The poor girl has got kennel cough so isn't coming out to play for a couple of weeks or so. It'll be "fun" when she does join us.

Bertie tried to make up for it yesterday by really pushing his chat up technique...... Get right in Quizzie's face then bark as loudly and persistently as possible . This usually results in a short but swift chase and Bertie ending up on his back with Quizzie "discussing" his manners but grabbing him warmly by the throat .

It's been like this for about 2+ years, and he doesn't seem to learn, or maybe he likes it "ruff"

Take care everyone.

Good morning Jeff

Jessica tried it in South Africa for back pain which came in the form of black oil which was finitely measured and administered through a 1ml syringe orally. She didn’t like it because it gave her indigestion. We have a friend in South Africa who was using it for pain relief from an infection related to cancer of the tongue. When he was started on it, he had to go into a clinic for 2 weeks to manage the highs and tolerance of being on a pure form of CBD oil. A great outcome in terms of relief from the pain and it cleared up the infection he had in his tongue. Jessica couldn’t get on with it. I seem to remember it was called black pearl.

I am not sure if it’s available on the NHS or not or if you could drive with it after ingesting it because of the side effects of drowsiness etc

Applied topical through the skin, sorry I didn’t know.

You could try the NHS “patient access” app for a CBD support group forum.

Good morning Steve

Hopefully you had a good clear out with the iodine based contrast swallow. All the very best with the CT scan, let’s hope it’s the final one for you this time round.

Must be all the damp weather you are out in

As for the cannabis, its better if you smoke it

Soon I'll find repose
