It's come with the metal wings in the photos fitted, which, I understand are decent, but comes with a set of fibreglass ones too. I've no idea what colour the fibreglass ones are, but we'll see when they arrive!
The yellow peril is certainly going very well, particularly with another 200cc. |

The photo with the gold alloys was taken just before he started taking bits off it. I saw it sitting at the house, in Ayr, a couple of months ago, and driving past, it still looked red and shiny! My 2000 needed so much done to it in the Autumn, but it's a transformed car now, and is so much nicer to drive than ever before!

First car I ever owned a 3500S V8 auto in the coffee colour with cream interior and a sliding roof. I was working in the car auctions at the time and when I came back from my driving test it was waiting for me a 1974 all shining. I thought I was a millionaire at 18 driving around in that.
Those were the days, petrol and especially insurance costs were not the big consideration they are today. That was it my introduction to the Rover

I wonder if a TVR tweaked 5 litre RV8 would fit in that?

I love the p6's for the unique styling and believe they were much advanced for their day. My father had 2 p6s 2000sc and a 2200tc and were absolutely brilliant cars..

Very nice indeed !
The 3.5 V8 was a superb piece of engineering (I've even put one in my 1978 Granada Ghia !) I grew up working on these cars & have some fond memories. The P5B Coupe is my personal choice of 'older' Rover but I really like the P6B Auto especially with the spare wheel on the bootlid (continental look) Prefer the 3500 to 3500S as I like an Autobox. All the best with your new project. |
