I'm keen to follow this. I have four KV6 cars which I hope will last me out my driving years, and while I have a couple of spare manifolds (just fitted one) this will continue to be an issue with this engine.

This can only be good for the KV6 enthusiast, nobody knows more than I the failings of VIS motors. Just hope it is not cost prohibitive.

it probably will be stocktake.with an extra ecu to fund and map. i hope its a good thing for others to do without lpg on their kv6 petrols. as we lpg boys will already have an ecu piggy ecu in play. could make things rather complicated ..... or maybe not ... lets hope.

Would this be for all varieties of the Kv6? The 160, 177 and 190?

In the early ‘90s I was working on engine performance development test beds at the Flight shed at Longbridge. In the test cell next to mine was amongst the first Merlin or KV6 engines. The first variable inlet manifold was hand built by Mike Hull (sadly deceased) and Rocket Ron Smith if I recall correctly.
I wonder if I know the person involved in this one. |

Following too.
Any pics? I remember seeing a fuzzy photo of some kind of carbon fiber inlet on the kv6 with a big metal wheel on the top of it? Anybody know anything about that!?.. Is it the same thing we are talking about here?
