That's about it. Of course the hidden question was - what is the distance?

5Nm is the closest to - 4.903325

Achieved using the handy Kgm -> Nm coverter here: (0.5Kgm input)

I believe it is the amount of force (torque) transmitted through a lever is calculated by the mass (in our everyday situation, that mass is you pushing or pulling on it) acting on the end of the lever, being multiplied by the length of that lever. It is why breaker bars are used, and sometimes extended using things like scaffold bars etc. making that turning effort easier.(and if I understand correctly, that mass can be called weight as it has 1g of gravity acting upon it in a real world situation, and weight is mass x gravity)

In saying that, as I said before, whilst I learned such things when I was younger, I have probably confused them with others in my recall, I was distracted when I was younger

Simon once again you show how little you know of the real world, VIZ comic is not for sale to minors

Anyway I await your considered input of the question of the four strain gauge arrangement........you better be good when you answer this, because I know the answer, primarily as the first five years of my working life, I manufactured tools to measure torque, and to calibrate torque wrenches with
