Spoke to insurance co. today and they say they are still awaiting a decision following the quote they have had. I have, however, decided that I am going to buy something else anyway regardless of the outcome. I won't elaborate yet!

Sorry for the delay in updating. The insurance have written it off. I have been to see her in the repairers yard and collected all my belongings and of course to say farewell! Looking at the damage (which I couldn't see on the day of the accident as it was in a ditch) it is pretty bad. Front nearside wind and structure totally caved in, fusebox smashed to pieces (don't fancy re-wiring that!) as well as damage to bumper, lights, grill and probably suspension.
I am awaiting the transfer of my plate onto my new car and then hope to receive a cheque from the insurers to help pay for it!

BTW - new car is a Mini Cooper S R56 fully loaded with all the extras...time for some more fun (but not in the snow!)

It's an A road joining two major A roads and the only access for 12 villages.

What makes it worse was the interview on radio 4 about gritting yesterday where they said they were on top of it after last year and all councils now have a minimum of 6 days supply. I didn't realise that they had 6 days supply by only gritting half as much....
What was the outcome of your car? Was it saved hopefully?

Not sure what the insurance co. will do with it. I doubt they'll scrap it as it's in good condition. I hope it will become a suitable donor for other ZT enthusiasts.
