As far as I can tell, the MG750 costs $17,990. Thats about £11,000.

The MG550 costs £15990. Under £10,000.

Thats cheap!

If the MG6 is made in the UK and offered with a decent diesel engine I would be very tempted.

Don't like the c-pillar area it's too bulbous looking, and the wheels need to be a bit bigger they look lost in the arches. Is this a chinese only car?

As we all know this car will not be built at Longbridge it will be screwed together from a crate of bits sent over from China.
BTW not to keen on the MG6 Turbo badge looks like its come off the shelf from Halfords.

Get rid of the plastic dash, stick in some wood and some chrome and I may well have a look. There dealership/servicing/parts dept needs to be on the ball for me to buy one though.

I guess I will wait and see

Agreed on both counts, but as our indeginous mass market car industry is dead what choice do you have? new Astra (same argument applies) Focus? Ford don't even screw cars together here anymore. Civic - definitely in the running, but expensive. Auris? only if I'm in a coma.

So I shall wait, have a look and make a decision based on the fact that it's not a bad looking motor and as British as anything else I can afford.

Depending on price, I would buy one if it were built over here and I were in the market for a new car. I like the colour of their antifreeze! I think I prefer the shape and styling of the MK2 ZS saloon that it kind of replaces.
