Default Kv6 coils

Can someone tell me which coil/plug is number 3. I have searched everywhere and no joy. My number 3 is misfiring so I suspect its the coil. Hopefully at the front of the engine.
Thanks for putting me out of my misery

Just a brief comment, something in my memory about the coils not being arranged in logical sequence ie 1 3 5. If the misfire is on no.3 cylinder trace the HT lead back to the supplying coil, you may well find it's the first of the three coils (viewing as per Stocktake) or the first coil on the left, front bank.

Regards

Thought they were stick coils not coils with HT leads

...... and the HT leads have a habit of breaking down and self disconnect from the plug top intermittently. If they haven't been done, change them all. The difference is amazing!

on some of the early kv6 models coil leads were routed incorrectly . either number one or number 3 were not correctly positioned. even the H.T leads were the wrong length and were fitted incorrectly to their relative length positions.

Default KV6 Coils

Just to update and thank you for the input.
Diagnostic has thrown up a code for my misfire. Initially all codes cleared but one came back P0352 - ignition coil B primary control circuit/open.
Coil has been replaced.
Can anyone shed light on a fix.
Cheers

Hello Mick,

RAVE's description of P0352 is different to yours. It says there's a fault in the primary or secondary circuit of ignition coil no. 2.

As you say that coil has been replaced, swap it for no. 4 and see if the fault remains on cylinder no. 2 or moves to 4.

Just a thought, and maybe way off but there is an earth lead coming from the engine loom that connects to the lower inlet manifold via one of the coil fixings.

Perhaps check this as well.
