Default Bonnet open switch

When I go at about 70, and depending which way the wind is blowing, my door open light on the dashboard comes on intermittently. Bonnet is shut properly so I assume it is fast moving air reducing the air pressure on the bonnet causing it to lift a tiny fraction.

I've tried pressing and wiggling the switch manually a few times and when I've done that the problem seems to go away but then returns after a few days. So I assume it is dirty or worn contacts in the switch

Is it easy to remove the switch completely so I can give it a good clean, and/are new ones available?

Thanks.

Try adjusting the bonnet catches slightly, or put a little pad on the bonnet where the plunger of the switch touches

A 1p coin blue-tacked to the underside of the bonnet should be enough.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
