Default 'CHECK ENGINE' light on

I have noticed this last week that the 'CHECK ENGINE' light has been coming on intermittently but now is on full time when engine revs are less that 1400rpm but goes out when that speed is reached. Engine runs perfect.
Any ideas?

Worth checking and cleaning the LP and HP fuel pressure sensor plug connections. The LP sensor sits on top of the fuel filter, and the HP sensor is on the end of the common fuel rail.

Does your car have a manual or automatic gearbox? The MIL comes on for a couple of extra items if an automatic box is fitted.
