So if anybody is prepared to take a bet, I'm open to any challenge.!
I notice the car in question is an automatic, so I am convinced there is skulduggery involved!
You would lose. My son works for a large oil company, and ran his on the ‘best’ petrol. He does approx 25 miles a day going to work and back, and got around 26/28 mpg. When he used to bring his daughter back from uni at Leeds he used to get 37/38 mpg. If he is telling porkies, I will find out because I have just bought it off him and not putting it on the road until at least next March/April when it will have everything that wants doing to it, done. I will then post up what it does to the gallon in my ownership. I do know that when he bought it 10 years ago, coming back from where he bought it he got almost 41 mpg. I know because I was with him, and it was brim to brim. Can not stand these people who believe nothing they are told because it does not match their ‘knowledge’. Sorry.
