How would that work then? Surely on a Mk1 you have the bit of the bumper that goes between the lights and it's not there on a Mk2. Meaning that if you wanted to fit Mk2 lights to a Mk1, you'd have some cutting/filling/sanding/painting to do, and if you wanted to fit Mk1 lights to a Mk2, you'd be doing some fabrication.

The bumper around the lights also looks a slightly different shape to me.

Basic rules....

Mk1 halogens can be re lensed to Mk 2 and vica verca
Mk 1 and Mk 2 xenons the same as halogens with lenses
Xenons can replace halogens or reflectors, plug and play...
The back plastic body from a reflector can be used to replace broken halogen bodies but not xenons...

Sorry Pete, that's what I was getting at. It's not as simple as just changing the lights.

True... But you can get a nose from about 30 quid if you hunt around
