so when you say manually, do you simply lift it up or does it wind up

It is sort of spring loaded... I just always have it down...Looks good, you can see out of it, but it is hard to see into .. If you know what i mean. lol. Poppy

yeah i know, wifey uses it to stop van drivers peering into the car, I use t to cut out glare on my DD

Mick, I know you very kindly offered to help me some time ago but spurred on by your post I decided (with help from a friend) to fit mine today. I had already determined I had the wiring in place and a couple of weeks ago I fitted the switch into a new 3-hole panel.
The shelf I purchased had a slit cut below the centre seat belt guide to make it easier to fit as you don't need to remove the seat squab & it doesn't show when the seat back is in place. As I was going to give or throw away my existing shelf I also slit this below the guide and within 10 minutes the shelf was out.
About 40 minutes later after a bit of careful guidance to avoid the wires and some effort to get it over the centre belt reel, the blind was securely fastened in and working.

A nice little mod for the cost.
