2003 Rover 75 Connoisseur Se Auto Limo
currently on sale on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT i am very interested, but i feel there is a catch... any comments would be welcome. I guess it could be coming up for the cam belt service, and of course being a repaired insurance job will hit the value. The rather odd looking mk 1 rear end with the mk 2 rear end looks strange.. i would prefer the mk 1 front end would love a limmo - the extra room in the rear be great for carrying the grandkids around |

I liked the look of it too.
I messaged him about the belts and he said to his knowledge they hadn't been done so a fair whack to go on top. Tempting tho', wonder if it goes a while longer he may be open to offers? |

That car was for sale earlier this year too by the same owner. It never sold then and he's been driving it ever since. I did enquire about a swap as my low mileage, not D recorded 75 would be much easier to shift than a CAT D 2.5 with fuel proces like they are, that he's been driving nearly all year and trying to sell. Being 6ft 4, the extra legroom would certainly be useful for those stuck sitting behind me. He never responded to the swap request.
He did say that it was actually a MK2 to begin with and that it was a rear 3/4 shunt, hence the MK1 boot as well. He also said PDC isn't working but the wires are there for a MK2 rear bumper with PDC to work. I didn't really understand as I'm sure the pictures show PDC on the MK1 bumper which should work, but I may be wrong. Seemed a little botched to me if that is the case. It was more curiosity than anything else since he's only up the road. I couldn't really bring myself to part with my car I'm sure. |

You're right, and it confused me too but he is adamant that the car is a MK2.
What strikes me as being more weird is that if you look closely, the car has a MK2 dash but MK1 instrument cluster. Therefore it might be safe to say the IPK has been replaced at some point, so the true mileage of the car could be anything. There could be any number of hidden issues behind the butchery. It has more MK2 to it than MK1 despite being apparently a 2003 car. It has the MK2 wheels, dash wood, steering wheel and front end but the MK1 discrepancies are quite worrying. It's not an honest car at all. Pity that a LWB should come to this. |

Pretty certain that all LWB's are MKII's....

It wouldn't be a development car would it? He did say the first owner was Rover.
