Club Affiliated T4 Operators
Guidance sought. I need a T4 exam following intermittent starting troubles and noises off. Battery is showing 12V at rest. A rattle in the upper manifold area after difficult starting (VIS ?) has just poked it’s head up so attention is needed.
The nearest club affiliated T4 (thanks Steve for the T4 map) to me is over two hours away and the nearest non-affiliated is at Wickford, Essex. I’d much prefer to see a club member but distance prevents. So, if anyone has experience of these people I would be grateful for views - MG Rover Repair Centre, Wickford. Thanks.

Kevin at Wickford is first class. Old school mechanic. No salubrious surroundings (who cares, the quality is in the workmanship). Does it right first time with quality parts. Used him many times. He'll probably be able to diagnose without the use of T4 using experience gained over many years.
I think he may be on holiday for a week at the moment. You could try the guys at British legends in Sarfend (they have T4 should it come to it) if you need it looked at quicker. http://www.britishlegends.co.uk/ Not used them myself, though as Kevin is closer to me. |

Kevin at MG Rover Repair in Wickford has a t4 and I can't fault him. Many travel a long way to get work done by him. He's looked after all of our various MG's and Rovers over the last 5 years. Really knows his stuff.

British Legends in Southend have a T4 machine. They diagnosed the fault on my V8 ZTT 400.

I have used Kevin many times and trust him implicitly with my 75 and ZT-T (CDTI and 190+). Always first time diagnosis and have had no issues with any of his work. Hope that helps.
