This could possibly be the worst thing any nation could have done. Putin is clearly not afraid to use his nations might so why would anybody shoot down one of his Jets! Absolutely moronic actions from Turkey, nothing Putin does now would surprise me, especially since the "rebels" who shot the pilots are Turks

What sort of world are my children going to face in the future, that is a truly worrying thought

The problem is if Putin doesnt do something he will be seen as weak.

Oh and btw the Turks used the Nato rules of engagement agreed by all Nato members .

lost one of two helicopters and one more soldier engaged in search&rescue operation... (oficially there is no exact information about pilots status or their bodies location, so rescue operation looked like necessary)

rebels caught on camera destroyind with TOW missile abandoned mi-8 which was hit and hard-landed during pilots search. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IschF-ihjS0#t=99

With things going as they are Its not good what so ever, it seems sparks of other conflicts are being drawn.

Its a nuclear chain reaction and could trigger the next war.

The Turks shooting down the air craft was bad, but also killing the pilot as he ejected and was going to land.

Disgraceful.

Sounds like the hostage taking in France is not terrorist related and may be in fact an armed robbery, still not nice but at least not linked to I.S and further escalations !
