Default brake wear warning light

Bit of an odd one.
On the IPK it has been intermittently showing the brake wear warning light at the top left of the IPK screen. Then suddenly it decided to show the waring at the bottom left of the IPK screen, then on another trip top of the screen again. Started car yesterday and it's moved back to the bottom of the screen again. All pads look ok.
Again sometimes there is no warning at all.
Is it going to be one or two duff connectors?
Also does the position on the IPK screen indicate if it's front or rear sensor?

Gary; check for a damaged cable in the OSF wheelarch giving an intermittent connection. Also bear in mind that the sensor will trigger before the pad thickness reaches danger level.

No. Icons and warnings move around the message centre depending upon the need to display a second message, for example 'door open'.

When the icon moved to the lower position there were no other items showing on the message centre... maybe it just liked it there better.

Just replaced mine because the sensor plug at the pad end was cracked. No need to take the pads out to replace - just plug and go

Mine done pretty much the same last week. Would only come on when on full lock, would go out if re started untill i went on full lock again. Then the warning came on permanent...had a look and sensor cable had chaffed through...re connected and now all OK.
