Default Gizmo reliability in connoisseur

Are the electrics seats, heating and other bits and bobs fairly reliable on the connoisseur? If the electric seat fails is there a manual overide?

I wouldn't say they are any less reliable than any other make. I have had manual seat bases on Honda's break up less than a year old.

There are fail-safes for the electric seats. For example, if they think something is 'in the way' of them moving they will move in 'inch-only' mode, same as with the auto-up drivers window (where installed/activated).

The sunroof does indeed have a manual turning (by way of an allen key in a slot somewhere near the switches I believe). There is no manual adjustment for the seats if they should fail.

As Phil says, electrics are as reliable as most other makes. Good maintenance and regular cleaning (to stop dirt/debris blocking motor runs and gearing) will all help to prolong the life of your car and it's gizmos

I've had 3 Connies a 2000, a 2001 and now an early 2004 and had no problems with seats apart from the buttons on the side.

You can move the elec seats forward and backwards without power, but it's a pain in the proverbial. It involves unbolting the motor and using the flexible drives to move it a bit at a time.

Mind you can't see why there'd be a problem with elec seats, though the memory one with an ECU

Simon just had a look at my drivers handbook, nothing in there about being able to manually close the sunroof should the motor fail.

Couldn't quote you anything I'm afraid as I don't have a sunroof to confirm this but just going on what I believe I have heard on the forums. Perhaps we'll have to wait for confirmation from someone else.

All the toys seem fairly reliable have been on mine anyway. No manual overrides as far as i am aware. I would have thought maybe the sunroof would but no.
