Default Closing the gap

Decided to try and close up the gaps around the bumper ...So off came the Front bumper i intended to remove the aluminium crash bar to elongate the bolt holes thus allowing me to raise the bar but i thought about it for a while and decided to try something different I cut some upvc window trim so that it would follow the contour of the top of the aluminium bar drilled 8 holes through the plastic trim into the bar & counter sank them i then locked it all in place with some self tappers ...I replaced the bumper and & it looks a hell of a lot better then it did....With hindsight i should of taken some pics but by doing this way it saved me a few hours labour not having to faf on elongating the holes in the aluminium crash bar
The trim was 4mm thick & 6cm wide and because the Aluminium bar has the contour of a wave i made a series of V cuts across the width of the pvcu
The whole thing took a hour which i thought was good considering it was
all trial & error ...Simples

Hi Colin.....Yeah a nice easy fix....I wanted to do it today but i saw the forcast was for rain and sods law being what it is i would get half way through it and the heavens would open so i thought i would put a theory to the test and it seems to have worked....By the way there are 8 bolts And 2 studs so a total of 10 fastenings on the Aluminium crash bar

How are you....That was shocking
