Default Clutch Bled, but random worrying symptoms

Hi, I'm new to this fine forum and have already found its wealth of info very useful.

I've got a 1999 2Lv6 with clutch problems. Liquid between the engine and gearbox tells me that lots of swearing and heavy lifting lies ahead while changing the slave.

But in the short term, I need the car to be usable over the Christmas period. Yesterday, I bled the slave cylinder (as described elsewhere on the forums), returning the clutch to life. Good stuff.

However, today I had the sobering experience of the clutch pedal going to the floor and staying there. Luckily, hooking my foot under the pedal was all that seemed needed to unseize the mechanism. I've done about 10 trouble-free miles since.

Beyond the bleeding already done, is there anything I can do in the short-term to stave off this clutch issue? I'm worried it'll jam solid next time.

Regards, Andy
