Default Tow bar....

Will a saloon towbar fit a tourer?

Yes and no. Some fit both but the gap between the tow ball and the bumper isnt always correct (a saloon tow bar may be too close on a tourer) but could be rectified with a spacer. Also, the mount that clamps around the towing eye doesn't fit correctly but again can be modified.

You'd have to physically try it on your tourer to see if it all lines up correctly, not an arduous task providing all your crash bar bolts come out intact...

The towbar is a saloon genuine rover detachable one.

Genuine ones won't fit as the bracket that goes into the chassis rail is welded onto the backplate.
Aftermarket does as the brackets that fit into the chassis rail are normally adjustable to compensate foe the 2 different heights.
