The idea with having an early example is to keep it original. What´s wrong with the crowns. Suit the car very well. My crowns were a bit marked but managed to get a spotless set off an old boy in Stockholm who´s car had been crashed. They´re hanging in the garage for -special- occassions

The plate I was forced to change as it´s registered in Sweden The original smileys are on the garage door.....

Thanks for all the comments everyone - i am going to keep the car as original as i can but i worked in sales at a Rover dealer when the 75 was launched & our demo had serpents on it and i much prefer them to the crowns, even the brochures showed them with serpents fitted. I was thinking about parking sensors & a wood wheel but decided against this so as to try keep it near to standard.
I fitted the wheels today & i think they really set the car off.

Lovely car and the serpents look fab. IMO and only MO I think crowns are hideous
