What a great looking car Swanny - looks like you have had the Autoglym out there !
It really is amazing that you got it for only £600. People pay far more for some beat up wreck of a Mondeo - I suppose a lack of knowledge in the general population means there are bargains out there for those in the know. On the continent these cars command much higher prices - one of our members dad paid something like 7000 euro for one of a similar age this year. |

Thank's Banjo, much appreciated. It's just had Spray and Shine for now, but when weather get's better, I'll give it the Meguiars 3 step treatment.
You'rs absolutely spot on with regards the used car market. It's amazing what you can get for your money out there at the moment!.

Very nice example and a bargain, the full wax treatment and that colour will look amazing in the summer sun.

Thank you Parker. Is it o.k that I'm stasrting to get a little bit obsessed with it!!LOL. Anyway, for £600 and with a full service history, as well as £3k worth of servicing receipts over the last 4 years (Including belts and stat 3K miles ago), and 74K on the clock, I can't think of anything comparable!

So far I've had to replace the cam sensor, cleared out my plenums, done the bonnet release mod, changed the o-rings on the expansion tank cap, fitted an aftermarket stereo, fitted a towbar, and had to fix rear door handles. Still need to look at reverse light switch and rear light seals. MOT on Thursday, 6 weeks erly, but thought I'd get it in this week as I'm off work. Compared to my last car (Citreon C5) this is very easy to work on, and it helps that there is a wealth of information on here!
