Default Music on iphone

My iphone is a t the end of contract, and I wont be buying another Apple phone, Android all the way for me!

I have some music on the phone which I simply cant find in CD format anywhere - is there a way to load this on to a laptop then transfer it to another device, or will it be lost forever?

You can do it, I did it years ago! I ended up buying some software to convert the apple format to MP3. I think it strips out the DRM keys which locks the file to only play on apple devices.

I'm not a fan of iTunes at all so I use a program called Floola to upload music onto my iPod Classic.

Sadly it doesn't work with iPhones, but their website recommends Duper as an alternative.

http://www.dupercopy.com/

Unlike Floola though, I don't think it's free, I think there's a small licence fee.

Just connect phone to itunes, open up the preferences tab and select either MP3 or audio CD to convert the tracks to whatever format you want. Takes 30 seconds

Unfortunately iTunes causes my laptop to crash, so I don't have it!

I didn't think iTunes let you take music OFF of iPhones/iPods, only sync them with your existing library.

Prob iTunes needed re installing that's all. It is fickle when being installed. But its the easiest way to get things from an iPhone. What iPhone do you have

There was a phase when everyone used to buy me itune gift cards as presents.
I must have over £100 worth of music that is stuck on their devices.
I have an ipod attached to my DD unit, but would really like to have the music on a SD card in a standard (non Apple) format.

Interestingly, some music from itunes can be purchased without DRM, if you pay extra, or pay extra to upgrade your existing library.

A real pain, I wish I could easily convert mine too.

You can convert to mp3 format in the preferences tab. Or sort tracks by type then using opposite mouse button choose option of convert to mp3
