Sigh... if only things were a bit more easy.
Used G3 scratch remover on the drivers door and headlights. Not as good as 3M but enough of an improvement to make me happy

There you are, access to Ecu and pollen filter!

The way I've written it makes sense to me, hope it does for you.

Stewart is spot on with how to remove the pollen filter link below also shows you how. Adrian a 1.8 should be easier to remove the ECU for pollen filter change.

I have found the best way to get the wipers off is to undo the nut, the collets will come loose if you jerk the bottom of the wiper blades a few times. Be careful that you do not lose the collets when they come loose.

Took the nuts off, soaked in wd40, tried wobbling the lower arm, tried prising up with screwdriver, cold chisel, ball joint separator...... nothing worked. Went to Halfords for a puller tool.... they hadn't got one.
But thanks to Arctic for pointing me to his how-to for diesel pollen filter removal I shall give that a go soon

Yes. If you follow Steve's instructions, you won't go wrong. I do mine the way Steve does his. Also as Steve says, be careful in cold weather when prising, pulling anything plastic,it is very brittle in the cold.

Just bought an Engine Bay wiring Loom for the 1.8 Turbo..... as once again the car has broken down and is been recovered by the RAC

Seems a problem with the section of harness that feeds the crankshaft sensor keeps causing faults.... hopefully this resolves the problem !!

Not yet Pete, the Irwin bolt removers arrived but was the basic set and didn't have one big enough. I need the expansion set.
XCP has arrived, and I've got some Milliput for if all else fails.
Not moving as fast as I would have liked.
