Default red light camera

I've just been flashed by a red light camera at a level crossing, but I was stationary, my front wheel can only just have touched the line, couldn't have jumped it even if I intended too,as the train was still crossing, pulling into a station.
Will I get the ticket,or will the authorities see that I was standing still, and waiver it.?
If I do get the ticket,I'm not paying it,or taking the points,I've done nowt wrong.

I think the law is that "you MUST stop behind the white ‘Stop’ line across your side of the road".
That is your front bumper, rather than your front wheels.

Don't know if you'll get away with it.. maybe you will?

All I can say is, I once spent an awful , awful morning scraping a man off a railway line who jumped a crossing light.

They are tough for a reason.

I quite agree with you,and wouldn't even consider jumping the light,as said in op,can only just have touched the line.Hadn't gone through the light or the crossing.

Level crossing was operating, camera system was operational, you moved across line , camera took picture.
Unfortunately it is objective.. not subjective.
Maybe someone will look at it and decide you obviously just braked late and couldn't stop short and you'll get away with it?

yes but its not like I went charging up to the line,I was travelling slowly, and just braked late,as the train (metro)had almost crossed,so was just coasting up to the line, thinking the lights would go off by the time I got close, when they didn't,I stopped, was standing still when camera went off.

ha ha!!,I'll just have to hope that they look in detail at the photo, and see I was standing still, will definately contest it though if they try to give me the fixed penalty.
