Wot hairline in my case There will be no economic recovery while very high Gas Electric and general fuel prices remain. The government just don't get it do they? People only have a certain disposable income and the priority is food and fuel, so the majority of earning goes on those. Nothing left in the purse for anything else and so it goes on. Government are blaming it on the strong Euro and lack of confidence ...........poppycock MP's need to get real and try and live on an average wage if they want to understand anything about the UK

Here Here. The thing that annoys me is when ever anything goes wrong they turn round and say. " Well we were left this problem by the last goverment". That line is wearing very thin now... |

Being part of the public sector, I (and many thousands of others) have been subject to a pay freeze for two years now, and with many years of below inflation pay rises before than, there's been a long term reduction in our disposable income - so we spend less every year!
In 2004, then in 2007, and now again at the end of 2012 (it shoudl have been last April), the organisation I work for has had a change of name - the last one cost quite a few millions - if the Government want to save money, then they should begin by stopping wasting it - no-one knows what the changes will cost this time round for out organisation. Last time it was all the building signs, stationery, etc, it was also the first time we had a coat of arms developed (they're not cheap!). This time around, again new building signs, etc. etc. Last edited by Cathyferret; 29th April 2012 at 23:38.. Reason: Spelling |

The town down the road (Norrköping) has just spent millions on the restoration of a building of -historical- interest in the town centre. It was budgeted for about 1, ended up costing 4. The firm has done a runner. Last week they announced that they are closing FIVE primary schools and dishing the kids out amongst the ones that are left. Reason...... no money. It´s called the Swedish Social Wonder.

I was listening to a phone in on 5 Live on Friday evening and apparently schools across the country are now having to provide breakfast bars for some pupils as they were arriving at school hungry due to the fact that some parents are no longer able to afford food for a breakfast. What have things come to!
