2000 Rover 75 - ABS Fault

2000 Rover 75 Club SE Saloon, 1.8 K-series, Manual, 93000 miles

Driving to work this morning the ABS light came on and stayed on. It remained for the journey home too. I scanned the module with TOAF which returned a rear wheel speed sensor error:

I'm thinking either loose/dirty connection at the blue plug, rust or dirt on the hub or a faulty sensor. Are there any other common causes I should look out for? Does anyone have a photo of the area of the hub that needs cleaning up? I assume it's pretty obvious when you get in there, but haven't had this problem before. Thank you

If the backplate has rusted it can damage the magnetic reluctor in the wheel bearing. Easy enough job to replace the bearing, as long as it isn't seized on the stub shaft!
