LOL! My Andy Capp tat is in memorium of my old scouser stepdad.
Andy is a dead ringer for him although Dad wasn't a drinker, womaniser or souse. The Andy radiator mascot was mounted on my old Supercharged ZA Magnette, and yes, I do have a matching Flo to go with him. (FWIW: she bears no resemblance to my Mum!)

I knew that Brian!
It's the resemblance between Andy and my Step-Dad that is the connection. Mainly the Schnozz! Both Dad and Andy's illustrator shared the name Reg and I have that as part of the tattoo.

I currently am using a streetwise diesel van whilst I do some 20 year anniversary refreshment on my white 75.
It is nice however to have a car your not bothered about damaging and it runs on sniff of diesel compared to a 75.

Mine still serves as a daily hack - with the trusty old Freelander TD4 as a back up, dump run and towing vehicle.
Both worth peanuts these days so I measure depreciation in coppers rather than quids. |

My wife has been using the 75 for the last couple months as a daily, though it's not the most economical.
However today we did a 110 mile round trip on the dual carriageways of Devon, I kept to a disciplined 70 mph and averaged 59.7 mph and 49.5 mpg. This week we should pass 206k miles, so i can't complain at that. |
