Talking Update on fuel gauge reads zero problem

Good Morning All,

A week ago I asked the forum if anyone had had the same problem as I was experiencing "fuel gauge reads zero when fuel tank full" I had many replies and promised to report back once I had found the reasons.

I had tried to bounce the sender using kerbs and speed bumps etc before getting into the tanks but no luck, the OCD check showed ---- on 6.1. After burning off half a tank of fuel I accessed the left saddle tank and sender unit got my arm into the tank and exercised the sender float assy, then got the better half to turn on the ignition and the gauge worked, it seems that the float assy must of got stuck under some pipes or wiring.

Hope this helps those who have the same problems and thanks to all that help me.

Regards
