Default help with matiz brakes

Can anyone shed any light on my problem , wifes car matiz and every so often front offside brake locks on . If you wait for it to cool down its then fine for weeks then for no reason locks again ,have looked at pads and all seems fine any suggestions greatly appreciated .

Would think possibly stuck caliper or slider.

When you changed the pads, did you service the calipers too? I think it's essential that the caliper mounting is checked for free movement and that the piston/s are operating correctly. Most disc brakes are easy to service nowadays, so it only takes a few minutes more than a pad change.

I've seen a number of cars where corrossion on the caliper can trap the pad and cause sticking. It happens on the point where the pad sits in the carrier. Rust takes up more space than the steel it replaces and makes them stick Had one car where a set of pads lasted around 3k miles because of this. I always clean these up when replacing pads.
