I received a Parrot 3200 for my Christmas from my missus. She got it from Halfords. The guy there had to order a cable because the car was a Rover 75. When the fitter came to fit the Parrot he said he couldn't fit it because the car had a tv and sat nav fitted and there wasn't a cable available for it. Has anybody had this problem before. My baby is a Rover 75 connie 1.8SE turbo automatic. All help much appreciated.

Thanks for the help,funny thing is the cable the guy from Halfords had to order was the "Autolead Sot-060". Obviously because it wasn't a standard fit they wanted nothing to do with it. That's what happens when they offer free fitting.

Yes, the only slight issue is having to extend the wiring from the back to the front of the car, as you say, not a standard fit.

There are plenty of other places that will install it for you though if you don't feel confident in doing it yourself, I bought mine from The Car Phone Warehouse, and they offered to fit it for me knowing I had the TV option (in the boot).

Also, these guys offered to make me up the extension lead (and fit it too)

So it's all acheivable.

One footnote to the "How-To" that I have subsequently altered is that I have re-located the microphone out of the Reading light cluster and stuck it to the windscreen glass at the extreme top right.

People were complaining about the poor quality of my voice during a call, but now it's all perfect.

You really have the Rolls Royce of handsfree car kits there, it's an excellent device, especially the voice activated dialling feature.

Hope you get it plumbed in without too much hassle.

Thanks once again. Because the Halfords guy said ther wasn't a lead available for the fit I got a refund for the Parrot. Looks like a trip to the Carphone Warehouse is on the cards for me. The only thing good that came out of this was the fitter removed that horrible Nokia cradle. Thank god for this forum, I thought I was going to be stuck with one of these stupid bluetooth earpieces!!!!!
