Its like a summers day here this morning

Good morning fellow / lady chill outers and 29 guests.

Yesterday I had my first video conference with an on call GP service. I needed a prescription for pain medication. No issues from the doctor prescribing and I got the lecture about the medication being addictive, fair enough. What was interesting was the doctor was providing the service from her bedroom in a loft and I had to wait in a virtual waiting room for 2 hours before being seen.

Yesterday I received the bill for the operations, some of which I had paid for in advance and some of it the insurance company has agreed to pay for. When I rang billing at the hospital they said they will work out a more detailed bill and will invoice in writing the breakdown and what is left to pay.

On the positive side, the hotel bar and restaurant is now open for breakfast and dinner. This afternoon Rover54 is visiting for afternoon tea.

Jessica and myself continue to make good progress, no complaints and every day there is improvement.

Talking of Norfolk Weather.

Our planned departure from Lowestoft ( I know that is Suffolk before any comments) on Sunday will now likely be the Monday or Tuesday.

Gale force winds are predicted for Sunday but the following two days should be fine.

We will still be taking Lady Emma from Acle to Lowestoft on the Saturday with a moderate weather forecast for the sea passage from Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft.

We have only a small window of opportunity to get her under the two bridges at Great Yarmouth (three if you count Haven Bridge) and Saturday is our best bet. A few days after that and we lose the tides in our favour.

So, the trip will be split into two separate halves and if nessasary Lady Emma can stay at Lowestoft until such time as fair weather allows. Hopefully though, it will be next Monday or Tuesday. At least we won't have any further bridges to negotiate

We drove over the road bridge and the boats were sitting very high on the water due to all the rain. The rivers should have had a good flush out this week! All the best for your journey. Mike and Lynda
