Tried to remove my IPK today but couldnt remove the 2 plugs is it just a pull off or is there a locking device ?? .

look at the white plug and you'll see the arm that latches in. Press the lug in and swing the arm all the way down. to refit the plug, make sure the arm isfully down or it won't fit in the socket.
