A V6 engine with real oooooomph.
Driver's seat that can rise as well as back and forth.
Door cards that are easy to remove and replace.
Suspension that doesn't need constant attention and repair.
Full size spare wheel as standard.
Simple fresh air vents that work without needing the aircon on.
A leak free boot . . .

Dave

Having seen the Coupe, then a V8 Convertible to me would be a stunner

I had an 827 sterling fastback manual then bought my first zt, what struck me first was no ign barrel illumination, no door or footwell lights, cruise control that you could only increase.
The 827 also had a V6 that I didnt have to worry when or if the head gasket was gonna pop.....
Car was sold on with 285000 on the clock.

On a plus the cabin is extremely insulated from outside noise.

My electric seats rise and fall no problem - in fact, my driver's seat does it all on its own every time I switch off the engine! The plastic control panel is broken, and I'm guessing it rubs up against the chassis, hence the 'ghost' movement all on its own!

Drivers seats are height adjusable (at least electric ones are) although they move forward backwards a bit with the height adjustment - independant of the fore-aft button. Door cards are no more difficult that most cars.

Suspension - yes the front is abominable for maintenance requirements - never had a problem with the 820 suspension bushes in all the years I owned it. The 75 has needed 3 pairs of rear bushes, 2 springs- the arms are worn enough to be annoying but not fail an MOT. Replaced the steering rack - now have advisory for inner track rod play. And half a dozen sets of drop links. - in 90k miles. (now on 193k).

If you want controllable vents without aircon then use the 'Econ' button on the climate control (which must be on to have control of the air control flaps and fan). Or buy a version without the climate control. You can also open the fresh air inlet to the 2 centre dash vents using the thumbwheel even with the climate control panel off.

A leak free boot is the holy grail and never a permanent fixture, at best it lasts 3 years before another leak occurs from somewhere else.
