Smile A Rover 75 sign / panel to be (hanged) hung

I've just received a rather nice sign to hang on the wall of my garage.
In case some might be interested, you may go to

I should add that I haven't got any share at all in the firm, in case some may reckon.

FYI 'to be hanged...' is a death sentence '... by the neck until dead'

You mean to be hung: i.e. you will hang it then it will have been hung.

In the death sentence meaning - 'He will hang', then 'He will have been hanged' (not hung).

Meaningless pedantry on the meaning and definition and common usage of words maybe.

Nice sign to be hung btw....

Hung, hanged or hoisted by its own petard, it doesn't really matter to me as I can't see it. The description says 'mature content' and my comp won't let me in.

Thank you @Avulon. I've written it too fast but I was used to this word "hanged" as I'm a kind of C17 & C18 historian - sometimes writing in a British history society magazine. That's why I didn't realize my silly mistake . Lots of chaps here may have chuckled to themselves...

Well, it is quite old I suppose. I take the view it means 'Immature and Contentious'!
