Exclamation Ciggies.

Have all you smokers stocked up! I cant believe the cheapest pack of fags is going to be £8.82 from May 21st Holy Moly!. I remember saying **** that when Woodbines went up a £1 a pack.

New laws are being introduced later this month to help curb the number of smokers.
If you’re a smoker, here’s what the new rules will mean for you.

1. From May 21, all packaging will be plain and every pack of cigarettes will be a shade of green.

2. It will no longer be possible to buy smaller packs of cigarettes

3. You won’t be able to buy bags of rolling tobacco weighing less than 30g

4. The cheapest pack of cigarettes on sale will cost £8.82

5. Menthol cigarettes are also being phased out along with fruit, candy, spice, herb, alcohol and vanilla flavoured tobacco – but they won’t be banned until May 2020

6. The new laws actually came into effect last May but shops were given a year to sell off their old stock

They don't really want you to stop, they would miss the income from tax, they are just going through the motions. Beat them at their own game - switch to vaping.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I gave up about 12 years ago & im so glad I did I can't believe the price they are nowadays.
They'll end up taxing vaping in the same way no doubt.

I gave up at the age of about 21, but never really smoked often enough to become addicted, so an easy ride for me. Almost 30 years later and I am pleased ,as for vaping, I think the stuff smells worse than tobacco, my bro in law gave up smoking and turned to vaping, whenever I have been in the car with him, he drives with one hand on the wheel, the other on his vaping pipe, and the chemical smell gives me a headache.

Neil

I can remember buying woodys from the old corner shop near us in the 60's, she sold woodbines in a 5 packet & she used to put 5 matches in for a shilling.

There are new laws for vaping coming in on the same day also.

a maze of new rules on e-cigarettes was brought in last year. They include:
  • New red tape for manufacturers and suppliers
  • Refill containers must be limited to 10ml
  • Disposable cartridges limited to 2ml
  • Vitamins, colourings and additives like caffeine and taurine banned
  • E-cigarettes must be 'child-resistant' in design
  • Health warnings must cover 30% of each pack surface
  • Packs cannot describe e-cig's "taste or smell" (they can describe flavouring though)
  • there was a grace period, so it will be illegal for shops to sell products that don't comply from 20 May 2017.

I researched it and continue to research - It is very, very safe!

Those who suggest it is dangerous are the tobacco companies, pharma companies and those who have something to lose by its widespread use.

I consider myself to have a very sensitive nose, but until a few weeks ago I would have said there was no smell at all - then someone began the silly sub-ohm vaping near me and I could certainly smell that.

Default Remains to be seen

In my opinion it remains to be seen if vaping is safe. Time will tell. Many new things are looked upon as safe only for this to be disproved later. Personally I can't really see how inhaling anything other than the air we breath ( sometimes even that depending on where you live) is safe.

Nothing against vaping as long as it is not done where I can't help but inhale it.

Just my opinion of course
