Heater matrix
Today I removed the heater matrix from my wife’s zt and cleaned it out, I was surprised at the amount of crud that came out despite goodness knows how many flushes, I then filled it with white vinegar, flushed then filled it again, another flush then filled it with kettle de scaler.
Another rinse and put it all back together, it turned out to be a very easy job especially putting it back together, I removed the seat, laid on my back and side, removed the rear pipe clamp then the clips that hold the pipes together, removing the clamp gives you the extra play in the pipes. All back together and the cabin is rather hot, a job I wouldn’t hesitate to do again. 🙂 |

Cheers Fred, I've read the stories people have told of this nightmare job.
