Yea Frank is correct, it is known as The Sleeper as on 365 camping. However that website is well out of date now.

The company that built it has now sold The Sleeper on to AV Innovative and the price has increased somewhat.

The Sleeper weighs only 150kg and can carry 350kg of camping kit, then provides a warm and comfy bedroom for us when we arrive at our destination

Here is a pic from our first trip, before we had started to "dress" the trailer the way we wanted it.

Then more recently at a show with the Golf too

Glad you approve. For more info on Teardrops please feel free to visit and maybe join The Teardrop Club of Great Britain. Lots of info on there and lots of very unique trailers too

Happen to have a side on pic with the tourer and the trailer do you?

Hi MacGyver

Here's the current manufacturer's site. Can link it to a tent too.

Cheers

Fantastic, suits the 75 far better than the mk2 Golf. Id one myself years ago, love it, but the 75 tourer works so well with the retro styling and the chrome etc.

Yea it does suit the Tourer really well, as you said all the chrome and very retro.

The retro thing attracted me to the 75 and the teardrop

But for me the VW thing really floats my boat, love the shows and the whole scene.
Don't think the mighty Tourer is being left out though, should be pulling the Teardrop through europe next summer. Venice I hope. Some things just have to be done in comfort

Don't knock it mate, bet you can get some kit in there. Sand that wood back, then loads of varnish

Did someone mention camping

I´m lucky to have a choice between 4 vans and a folding tent van. The tear drop design is very nice and has been copied many times over the years. Believe it to be american in origin from the 20´s (1920´s not 1820´s) Love anything camping and really before 1970. Couple of side from the oldest book I have on the subject
