I love vehicles of this period and wish I had the space and £££ to own something. A little info would be nice.

Errr it was dark red, slow & uncomfortable It was a 1969 BMC 900FG which was the heaviest in the FG range & also quite rare, it's GVW was 9125KG, it was fitted with a 5.1 6cyl diesel which is why it has the sticky out bit on the front. My mate bought it from some new age travellers near Banbury & it was fitted with a wooden horse box body with a pot bellied stove in the middle & leaded glass windows. The body was absolutely rotten so was removed & burnt. He then restored it & fitted a modified flat body to it & made some new drop-sides for it. He ran it for a couple of seasons then emigrated & said to me look after it so I ran it for 5 years doing the vintage rally scene but he sold it a year past christmas.

Regards Col
