Having a problem here after following this great tut.

Everything set up as per tut. All wired up using scotchblocks but not getting any channels. The red led is on in unit but when i do a scan it doesnt pick up any channels and says no signal.
When i connect the av lead with the jack end, as opposed to the standard av leads and plug that into the TV socket at back of head unit then it does look as if theres something as u see as scramble pic for a brief second but still no channels. Going to get a test meter to make sure power going to aerial but ive actually wired them in with block connectors and power still ok to head unit so i think thats alright as well.

The remote eye for remote control was missing so is it possible that i need to cange something as in the youtube video? I thought would have been fine as the unit has touch screen and could access menu from there. only button available is scan but not picking up a thing.

Sean sending remote eye this weeken so hopefully thats where my problem lies.

anyone able to offer anything else to solve the prob?

Thanks

Mick

Cheers

Hi Mick,

The dvb receiver you have got isn't touch screen Sir.
Once you have received your remote eye you will need to do an installation on the dvb receiver for it to tune available channels.
If you have done a scan on the touch screen it very much sounds like you have accessed the analogue tv on your double din.
To watch digital tv on your double din you select AUX not TV
Hope that helps.

Not sure if this is the YouTube video you watched but this shows you how to tune the dvb receiver for Mgr WinCe double din units.

Hi m8.

yes sorry I should have worded that better

Yes I meant that the hea unit is touch screen so thought I could access channels that way.
And yes i seen ur video and thought id be much the same as that.
What I have not been doing though is selecting the aux mod as I thought I was just selecting TV in the DD head unit. So ur saying it should be aux??

Thanks for ur time in responding mate.
May have to waot on the remote sensor after all then.

Mick

Yep, you have to press aux as it's an external/auxiliary device.
The Tv button is for the built in the head unit analogue tv that you are not using

makes absolute sense now that u mention it

Im going to check that the power is getting to aerial 2moro using a multimeter. But as far as u are aware i will deffo need the remote to access the screens an these are not available via touchscreen on the DD?
