Phew - I think I've just shortened my lifespan by a few years. Fired up my son's twin Honda engined go-kart for the first time since last October - what a lot of fumes - and noise
Hope none of the neighbours are on night shift and trying to sleep during the day

Still a gloomy miserable rainy day here, I've been watching some of those old British movietone videos, very nice.
The young kittens are like battery toys that wear down, they are running around like crazy play fighting for half an hour then they get under the throw on the couch for a few hours kip to recharge their batteries and start again.

We have a problem putting down grass seed as the birds love it, so what we have to do is to transplant tufts of lawn into the ground. A couple of months ago, we took down a hedge to open up the view, but it left a bare patch. Putting in the tufts is a slow and laborious process but we do get there in the end. A nice looking motor, is that a ??? Sorry an elder moment |

Good evening everyone / Evening Phil. They're a ball of fire & funny as heck watching them. Our daughter named them Simon & Louis after the X factor pair. and the missus said Yes, I wanted to call them something daft & silly lol. Your gardens looking very nice indeed, I have an uphill struggle here with moss in the lawns. at the end of Summer it starts to look in good shape then Autumn/Winter brings the moss back. I wouldn't mind growing some veggies again but we have a terrible snail/slug problem too, everything we plant that's not off the ground gets devoured overnight Yes the new Niro car is a ??? three letters starts with a K & ends with a A It's a very nice car indeed & very easy to get in & out of. I didn't want a full sized SUV as they're too big for our needs so this compact crossover SUV is a perfect size. The missus decided to arrange to pick up a cabinet she bought out off the local buy & sell internet site thingy at 5pm in Bolton when it's chocabloc with traffic She's banned from arranging things in rush hour times, I don't miss my time on the lorries one bit in today's traffic any more. It's taken a hour & half to do a 8 mile round trip. It's pork chops in some sort of Mediterranean BBQ type sauce with roast potato/carrot/swede wedges for tea.

Good morning all, good morning Freddie. We are on day 2 of a power cut, we heard a transformer across the valley go bang yesterday and when we reported it, they said a team was already there. I reckon they made it go bang. They didn’t like that and put the phone down on me. We have solar, but it’s not powerful enough to run the freezer. Anyway I have some treats for the dogs to give out shortly....dog bones from the butchers

So your kittens are named Simon and Louis. Cute, cute, cute The thing with pests and slugs in the garden is to use science and Mother Nature against them. The latest weapon is called Integrated Pest Management Control IPM. Using organic methods and not chemicals. Here is a link to explain some more with ideas, if your thinking about ridding the garden of caterpillars and slugs, aphids, white fly, etc, look up Organic Pesticides, you can also get them on Amazon. .....https://www.no-dig-vegetablegarden.c...l-control.html Last edited by Gate Keeper; 18th April 2018 at 06:27.. |
