Looks like no takers, I'm not even sure what the 'canister' is? Can you link to a parts diagram that shows it? (maybe one on Rimmer's site).

The fuel cooler (diesel only) and the carbon absorption canister are quite differet thngs. Only petrol models have the canister. which is part of the emissions control system. It absorbs petol vapour generated in the tank and traps it rather than allowing it to vent to atmosphere. Every so often, the purge valve under the bonnet is activated and the absorbed vapour is drawn into the engine and combusted.
The canister must remain in circuit, but I guess if the piping were extended/rerouted, it could be positioned in a way to accomodate an exhaust system revamp. TC |

One thing to consider: is the relative location of the canister to the fuel tank of importance?

Depends on what is fitted, I have had a quad exhaust fitted to my ZTT, and the way it is done, does not require the canister to be moved https://c5.staticflickr.com/6/5709/3...ba131586_c.jpg Stu Last edited by Fusilier; 22nd June 2017 at 17:39.. |
