Default White residue.

Hi. Have just polished my car with Autoglym SRP and sealed with the EGP.
Well pleased with the finish but the SRP tends to leave a lot of white residue in the nooks and crannies. Have got a lot out with a tooth brush but not all.
Does anyone have any good tips to resolve the issue, apart from not using it? I still have the best part of a litre left and it does polish well.
Many thanks for any advice.

One solution, albiet a little time consuming, is to tape panel joints, badges etc prior to polishing.

Work out from the edges, will mean you don't push any of it towards the gaps

Additionally, use less SRP. SRP is to be used very sparingly, an ultra thin layer. If white residue is being left in cracks it may suggest you are using too much and some of the excess has been left there.

Can you not get one of those hand held steam cleaners, they use on ovens and work tops, just a thought.

Good advice. I do tend to be heavy handed with most products. I hate the thought of missing a little bit.
Cheers.

I agree, SRP and EGP leaves loads of white dust, you are better off using something like this

I bought 5 litres and think it is much better than SRP

Topaz is great stuff, works well on cars with good paint. Even works on plastics too.
