Default silly question

this might sound really stupid but is climate control the same as air con?. i have a 75cdti which does not have an a/c button anywhere.. my problem is that my heater blows hot and in this weather i would like it cooler...

And on a separate issue, i have a rattle sound from underneath. not all the time but when on a rough road (lots of them around here) had it up on the ramp at the garage and the only thing the mechanic could find was a heat shield exhaust baffle slightly misshapen which he put back.. the rattle hasn't stopped..

Yes Mechelle. 'Climate control' is a flamboyant name for automatic air conditioning. You set the cabin temperature which you want and the system does it for you.

Your profile says that your car is a Connoisseur so it should have climate control. Press the 'Auto' button to activate it and set the temperature to 20°C. If you don't get cool air then we'll talk you through what to do next.

Further to Simon's post, once you press the auto button you could also try repeatedly pressing the blue arrows on the temperature setting controls (the outer buttons on either side) until the display reads 'LO'. You should then get ice cold air blasting out. If it's working of course.
