Well video won't play it says video unavailable.....So I guess from what you say it could be the thrust bearing breaking up or friction plate or if you have a dual mass flywheel it could be that, you don't say what engine is in your 75

Does it remain in all conditions i.e. if you coast on the clutch what happens? Or if you turn the engine off whilst moving etc. It sounds like a very noisy injector but who knows if I'm picking up the correct noise on the video. What about putting a. Extension bar to your ear and listening into each injector in turn.

I've heard that on a mondeo. My Rover guru who came out to see it told me.
He did say it could be the thrust bearing too but to check either takes just as long. This is the reason I have a full clutch replacement and a DMF in the loft just in case. Since you have a drive it shouldn't be too bad there's a how to for changing the clutch on the forum. You lucky guys with driveways don't know you're born. I do all of my work 6 inches away from a main trunk road. Quote:

It's difficult to define exactly could be any of the suggestions already made worse scenario is bearing wear in the gearbox which would probably go quieter when your driving .....The pulsing in the peddle makes me think it's a clutch/flywheel problem.

update
sorry for late reply been busy sorting a new car.
turns out it was the timing chain and now that has snapped. i have decided to let it go to you guys or the scrap yard but i feel it would be ashame as it is in too good a condition. I was going to put a new engine in but dont have the time. It is a Rover 75 cdti in silver it has had a re-map from big russ also a new bosch maf sensor about 6months ago. it also has been undersealed fully. all sils are in perfect condition all wings have been sprayed with hammerite. Mot expires 31/01/2018 only advisory was that the exhaust rear box corroded the reg is vu03gda if anybody wants to look. It is currently parked on a friends drive and he has given me 7days so i would like one of you guys to have it or it will be going to the scrap man. i dont know if i am allowed to put a price on here so sorry against the rules but just need it gone £150.00 thanks. if you want any photos i could email them. |
