Default Freeview TV

Hi my daughter has just moved into her new house and has just bought a luxor 55in tv. Is there anyway to watch the freeview channels without a tv ariel connected. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Colin.

I am afraid that you really do need an aerial for freeview, when it was analogue you could get away with putting a wire coat hanger in the aerial socket, but now you must have an aerial

and it will cost around £100 to have an really decent aerial fitted to the outside of the house, and can be done within a couple of hours

Simple answer is no ... If it's smart then you should have access to catch up but not live. Depending on what the signal strength is in the area then a portable ariel might just do the job. Most modern decoders are pretty good although i have no knowledge of Luxor sets as we don't stock them at work.
