So far I have found that 9 saloons and 1 Tourer were destined for Holland ... of which 13 are still registered ??? And one has gone off to Luxembourg anyway. Difficult. May even be worse, since #799 was destined for the Dutch importer, but can't even make up its mind if it is LHD or RHD according to the database, or what gearbox it has!

Any help about tracing any car by its VIN and finding its registration and/or owner, would be appreciated.

#834, #850 and mine, #829. are the only ones I know for sure.

Hello David,

Try the MG roverclub Nederland on Facebook, sure there will be someone who knows.

David, did you try the app "RDW Voertuig" ? It will provide quite a lot of info based on the reg., including exported status, but no chassis number... Good Luck with your quest! John

Yep. Got that complete list of all registrations (all 75's, all models in fact), but like you say, no link to the chassis numbers. You get info like APK (MOT) status, colour (wrong generally) and import/export status (also often wrong), with difficulty some owner information (also wrong). Bit of a disaster all-round!

I have all MGR factory database info per VIN code so that link is the essential "missing link". I can guess the complete chassis number with 99%+ accuracy per VIN, but without the DigiD of the owner, I can't get through to the registration data through that 'back-door'.

Got a request to join the group pending. Thanks. I'm not very''Facebooky", but worth a try. Thanks for the tip.

Hello fellow Dutch people! I've been the owner of a silvergrey Rover 75 from 2005 (facelifted edition) since August 2017 and I haven't had any regrets. It is truly a very stylish and comfortable car. It's also surprisingly affordable for someone my age (23).

Facelifts are not at all common here in NL. Which engine do you have?
